My question is if I use it to "pre-order" a game which gives you a beta code when you pre-order it, will it be valid and I can cancel the pre-order as soon as I receive the beta code?

Nothing in particular. Just maybe future betas like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood beta, and more.

I doubt it because they need a five dollars put down when you reserve a game and since your credit card has no money on it, they won't except it, thus, not getting the beta.

What do you mean by that? Is there a foreign site I can test this method with?

probably there are many loop holes and i doubt gamestop has a huge cut off
