The Perseid Meteor Shower
You must

The Perseid meteor shower is a very reliable and strong meteor shower that happens every year from July 22nd to August 13th or so.
This meteor shower is caused by the Earth cruising through the debris left over from comet Swift-Tuttle, which orbits the sun once every 130 years.

This year, expected rates are around 160 meteors per hour at peak on August 12th.
If you are interesting in viewing them, they can be seen with the naked eye.
For best viewing, lie down on the floor with your feet facing SOUTH. The meteors should then be appearing over your left shoulder.
Best of luck!
