PS3 it's the more reliable console, I had a fat PS3 and it lasted 3 years the only reason I had to get rid of it was because the disk drive broke a would not read disks anymore it still worked fine other than that. I've now got a ps3 slim and that will hopefully last another 3 years if not longer considering I hardly use it.

Daddy's home.
The people who have PS3's will say PS3 and people with Xbox will say Xbox. I have both and I only use my PS3 for media, mostly videos. I don't play games on it much, I just don't like it compared to the Xbox. The xbox allows you to talk to your friends without having to be in the same game. Although PS3 online is free, with the Xbox you get stuff for your money. You get SentUAmessage where they answer questions that people write in, you get IGN stratigize for the latest games and you get other stuff as well such as sky player/netflix, last FM and so on. That's why I like the Xbox.

I would suggest PlayStation 3, for the obvious reason that I have one, but there are a lot more PS3 fanboys than 360 fanboys, as someone else said before, try the GB forums for more non-bias opinions.

I will obviously say Xbox because I personally own a Xbox Slim 4GB (I only play 4 or 5 games so I don't really need 250GB). Microsoft developed the new Xbox to meet the needs of the gamers, like me and all of you guys. One of the biggest problems the original Xbox had was the dreaded Red Rings of Death (RROD), I don't don't the specifics, but I think they changed the motherboard, like I said, I'm not really sure. The other thing is that the console has slits on the top and side, so it is constantly blowing air out so there is no overheating. The console's power button and the disc button are really "sensitive", so you don't have to push the button hard in order to power up the console. The new Xbox also has a built-in wireless adapter, so you don't need to pay ~$100 for an external wireless adapter.

I haven't seen the new PS3, but it will have its pros and cons. I only mentioned the pros in the new Xbox, but I'm sure that new problems will arise, but for now, I will go with the Xbox Slim.
