So today I woke up late, home alone, and had a bad dream (remember that part). Then about 30 minutes after waking up I got something to eat and got on my laptop, chillin, checking out my tweets and emails when all of a sudden, the internet goes out after switching to a new page. First I was all like "Psh, no big deal, looks like I've just gotta unplug the router for a minute and get back to what I was doing." but that wasn't the case since the internet still didn't work...
Minutes passed and then I tried signing in with my PS3 and that didn't work either! For the next 2 hours I spent time switching wires and testing my devices (because that's all I've had to do for YEARS!), but the only thing that worked was the whole time was apparently my Ipod. After I found that out, I went around the house and tested my bros PS3 and computer internet, which worked perfectly fine while mine still didn't....
This made me all of a sudden think that I was cursed and bound to die because of the dream I had which related to just such an occasion, ironically. Only thing I could do now was plug my ipod into the dock I got with my surround sound about 2 years ago (that I never used until today....) when all of a sudden my family comes home with BK (which is like, 5 minutes away). Everyone elses fries and stuff were nice and hot when mine were freezing, which added more to the whole "bound to die" scenario I was in, causing me to turn up the music on my dock and listen to nothing but Frank Sinatra and Bob Marley to calm me down a bit...
ANOTHER hour passed, and I'm still kinda out of it, but all of a sudden I think of the only difference between my devices and the other internet devices in the house.... the DNS servers.... Almost 4 hours later and I finally freakin' realized the only problem was the DNS server(s) I was using, which happened to shut down in the middle of the day... I never even knew DNS servers could just shut down like that! (especially since I've been fixing up computers and messing around with IPs, DNS's, and Statics since I was 10...) Then I turned my laptop to automatic DNS mode and gave the PS3 an old one I surprisingly remembered. Everything started working just fine then! It's a shame that in that 4 hours I thought I was going to die, believed in bad luck for the first time, and even thought there were such things as internet ghosts... FML

Jk =D
