(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was planning to move to the states (and work for a friend that lives in DC - yes washington dc) couple of years ago but with the economy and all I put it on hold. And cant really reach my old friend any longer so dunno whats up. But guess asking americans here could give some help...

How impossible is it to get a green card now these days?
And how hard is it finding work now in the US? The economy is better yes but still people are out of work. And also, is it possible to work as a night guard or do I need some kind of education/being american citizen? Let me know, still think about it all the time. Really wanna live in the states for a year or so, to take part of local traditions, learn how it is over there, try all the food and also work more on my english and get try to get rid of most of my big swedish accent when I talk /facepalm

Would like to live somewhere around tornado activity aswell, always been interested in mother nature and mostly tornados and thunderstorms. So that would be a + to live close to the tornado valley

Other then that, my working history is in the logistics. Warehouse/fork lift driving. And also security guard in Finland (watchmen or what u call it). No criminal record.

Any info is appreciated Smile

Amazing thunderstorms = Texas =D

5-8 years, wow. Well I dont wanna have a f* whore as a wife for that many years lol. Maybe I just hafto try to find someone to start a family with, but sure as hell sounds to serious /facepalm

Well I will ask around here and see what help I can get in Sweden to get my sorry as over there, and hear from the state etc how impossible it is. Would it even be possible if I found a company in the US that claims that they need me, and by that reason they can file a application of some kind for me getting a green card? so to speak. But even if thats possible, how would I even manage to do just so. oh well, some dreams will just be dreams I guess. But with a little luck almost everything is possible in life...

Yea I could see myself live in Texas for sure :tits:

Hm guess I could go to Texas on vacation for 1-2 weeks, and try to hook up with some local trash or some local girl that I could possible charm and get her to raise a family with me. But once again, damn so serious haha :P

Theres plenty of Swedish/Finnish companies over here who have people from there transfer to here. Most of them are for the Paper exporting business, so if you looked into that it could be a possibility into transfering after a while to here.

okay, getting visa to the U.S can be easily obtained if you go check with The United Nations in your country, thats how my aunt got here from Turkey, but it takes time, it took her about a year, yes a year, but shes legal and shes allowed to get citizenship, but for workwise, i say if u have a degree in something, you can translate it into english and show them skills required and they might consider it as a U.S degree, but if you dont (like me but im 18 ) then you can easily work at customer services or sales representatives

- Hope i helped Smile
