(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've just bought a EasyCap 2.0 (haven't received it yet, but still...) and I'm sure I need splitter cables so I can record to my laptop and play on the TV at the same time.

I don't know exactly what cables I need to do this, so please could someone help me out.

I am in the UK, so if you are linking, make sure they are UK based shops

If not, please give me the name of the cable(s) I need.

Please note that I am trying to get the best quality from it as possible. I know HD = HDPVR but I'm sure I can challenge the HDPVR quality if I get it right.

you most likely need a composite which are red white and yellow, or component if you are using the one with 3 wires.

Sorry but that makes no sense to me.

Do I need a y-cable splitter for each red, white and yellow plug or do I need some sort of S-Video going from my TV to my EasyCap, or would it be possible to put a SCART lead out that changes the signal to composite and is therefore compatible with an EasyCap?

Which gives me the better quality?

I need a lot of detailed advice on this because I don't want to go out buying the wrong thing.

Hmm, so why am I needing the double sided AV cable? Also, will I be needing three of these?

And, for the splitter cables, do I need to get a different one for each composite type (Red, white, yellow)?

You use double sided av cables so you can split the signal 1 into tv one into easycap. And no..asny spliter will work as long ass its 2 female and 1 male,,

Sorry for another question, but I'm still a little confused.

These splitters, I don't get it.

If I plug my PS3 cable into one of the female sides, and plug the male side into my TV, then the AV cable from the other female plug to the EasyCap, that will actually work?

I thought female plugs only accepted signals and didn't give them out, so I thought I would be needing double male and one female if you see what I'm saying.
