There are 2 types, Powered and Solid.

POWDERED: Is when you get the sparklers and crush them up into a fine powder.

SOLID: Is when it is in its original sparkler state.

On each page I will tell you what you need for each one.

Simple Bottle Cap Bomb

You Need:

-Sparklers (2 packets should be good)
-Bottle Cap
-Drill
-Tape
-Pliers
-Plastic Tub

1. Set aside 1 sparkler as a fuse
2. In a plastic tub or a container, use your hands to crush the powder from the sparklers into the tub. You can do this by bending the sparklers.
3. Once you have the desired amount of powder, get the bottle cap and drill a small hole to fit a sparkler inside.
4. This part is tricky. Put your bottle cap down on a flat surface and fill it with your powder. Now tape over the bottom with duck tape or electrical tape. Carefully flip over the bottle cap so that none of the powder falls out.
5. To make the fuse, with pliers cut the spare sparkler at the bottom (just after the powder starts). See picture below:

6. Now stick the fuse into the hole and light.

DONE.

This is the simplest one to do but still exciting. What might happen is that you could get a 'fizzler' which will not set off. DO NOT GO NEAR THE SPARKLER AS IT MAY SET OFF!!

Simple Solid Sparkler Bomb

You need:

-As many sparklers as you desire
-Tape
-Pliers

1. Again, set aside 1 sparkler for a fuse.
2. Now get all of your remaining sparklers and bunch them up into a big circle then tape them together. Picture below:

3. Follow the steps above to make a fuse and stick it into the top of the bomb.

DONE

This maybe a bit simpler then the bottle cap and this does produce a bigger explosion. This will not fizzle (has never happened to me).


THE ROCKET ENGINE (DESIGNED BY ME AND MY DAD)

You will need:

-Sparklers (as many as you can).
-A peice of wood (8cm wide, 5cm tall and bout 0.75-1 meters in length)
-A drill
-Drill peice 4cm wide
-That glue that plumbers use (you put them in those gun like things). In Oz, one brand is Selleys.
-Piece of wood (25cm wide, 1cm thick and 15cm tall)
-Drill piece 1/2 a cm.
-Something to mount it on (ill talk bout it later)
-A mature adult. SERIOUSLY GUYS NEED A MATURE ADULT WITH EXPERIENCE WITH THESE TOOLS.

1. First of all, set aside a fuse.
2. Get the wood and drill as deep as possible in the centre (the big wood) but not too deep.
3. Stuff as much sparklers in there as possible as in heaps. You can cut the metal bits off the sparklers to fit more.
4. Once desired amount are in there, with the smaller peice of wood, drill a 1/2cm hole in the center. Place this over the piece of wood making sure the holes aline.
5. Get someone to hold the smaller peice of wood in place and use the Selleys to glue it on (under the wood around the bigger woods outline).
6. Let it dry until firm. Stick the fuse into the hole and now it is done but not ready.

There is so much force that you have to mount it on something so it wont move.

7. Set it up like below with a bin. You could use other things but this is my favourite.

8. Light the fuse and stand to the sides. When I made this it went on for a good 30seconds.

This is one of the greatest ones ive done, but not the best

Beasty Bomb

You need:

-Sparklers (I used 350)
-Tape (bout 6 rolls of electrical tape)
-A metal tin
-Bricks
-Drill (drill peice 1/2cm)
-Pliers

1. Set aside a FUSE (wowowowow no surprise there)
2. Get your tin, wash it and dry it.
3. Now empty all your sparklers and cut the metal bottoms off each.
4. Now drill a hole in the tin.
5. Stuff all of your sparklers in there as tight as possible.
6. Now put the lid on top and tape it very tight with all your electrical tape and dont cover the whole.
7. Put the fuse in.
6. In a large area, put the tin on the ground standing up.
CHOICE A:
Bury it into the ground

or

CHOICE B:
Put bricks all around it, so it wont move.

7. Stand well away, get the dumb one to light it.

Little Bomb, Big Spark

You need:

-Sparklers
-Eclipse tin
-Tape
-Drill with 1/2cm drill peice

1. Empty the eclipse tin and rill a hole on the under side (not the lid).
2. Crush the powder like you did in the bottle cap bomb and fill it with the powder.
3. Tape it all up not covering the hole.
4. Put the fuse in
5. Your good to go.

BTW as above with the bottle cap one. Same warnings apply.


All of the above are all tested by me and are a alternative to fireworks (as they are illegal in Australia).

I could tell you how to make a bomb with a bullet and a hammer....But It would just not be the right thing to do..
