Xbox Live programming director Larry Hryb, known by many video game players as Major Nelson, revealed on his website the price for a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription will increase from $50 to $60.

A 3-month subscription will go up from $19.99 to $24.99, while a 1-month plan jumps from $7.99 to $9.99.

Along with the announcement, Microsoft has launched a promotion allowing Xbox owners to renew now for an additional year for $39.99.

Well with all the future additions Microsoft is going to add to the xbox, I would not doubt this. All xbox owners will end up paying the set price for it anyway because of two factors.
1. Most xbox owners actually have money
2. There is an abundant amount of kids who have their parents pay

Xbox mite be a better online experience and i say this after owning a ps3 since launch and a 360 slim since launch but microsoft are to greedy yes xbox live is better but not enough to justify paying what we pay or more as they now want. This just makes me wanna buy my games for ps3 now as at least if i have no money for live i can still play my games online
