(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});Timothy Hammerstone is 22 years old, lives in Polk City in Florida, and enjoys his Xbox 360. He might seem like just another gamer, but that's until you find out what he uses his 360 for. He was arrested the other night in his home after soliciting naked pictures from a 10-year-old boy through Xbox Live.
It started with Hammerstone inviting the boy to the online gaming group "RSB", which stands for Relentless Society of Brothers. It was later found out that he was the group's founder. Using special accounts, he was able to communicate with his victims without the notice of their parents. For the case of the 10-year-old, Hammerstone asked for naked pictures in exchange for 1,600 Microsoft Points (about US$ 20).
Hammerstone confessed to the crime after his arrest. In his home, police found a flash drive that contained 40 naked photos of the boy in different positions. He's now behind bars without bond and facing 16 counts of possession of child porn.
This wouldn't be the first time that sexual predators used gaming systems to prey on youngsters. A 46-year-old man in Taiwan was arrested after molesting boys that he lured with a Wii.
