It's not overpowered it's just that people are tired of getting their own asses handed to them due to that weapon.

no guns in mw2 are overpowered and here's why, wouldn't a bullet to the head kill you well in mw2 it takes 2 shots, wouldn't 2 bullets in the chest kill you, well in mw2 it takes 3!

your actually right, although i hate the fact people would just complain and cant do anything about it. dont you think scar is over powerd, dont you think grenade launchers/ noobtubes are over powerd, dont you think pro players are overpowerd? just go and kill they way they kill you? i mean its there so go use it and be OVERPOWERD!!!!

Just like the MP5 from CoD4, it's not overpowered, just wayyyyy overused. Nobody knows if it's overpowered or not unless they've actually been killed with one in real life.

It's not overpowered. Sure it takes like 3 bullets to kill, but so do assault rifles and they have a lot more range than the UMP. It's the only SMG that is competitive. Go try use a P90, I bet you'll struggle to consistently pull out decent scores.
