That part was aimed at Favo lol. Sure it's still music, but it's not something that I can listen to. You should be able to put music on at any time and sit back with a few cans and listen for hours. You can't do that with drum and bass.

Beetles write their own songs from scratch, drum n' base is just a bunch of pre-made sounds clumped together and labeled as a song.

I guess it's personal taste, as you said you can't sit back and listen to it, however I can for a while, I tend to listen to it while gaming, it hypes me up and I go crazy-psycho mofo'.
Now, rap, THAT's something I can sit back with a few cans and listen to

No offense to grime or UK garage, but Roll Deep (and similar bands) are hardly the best collectives to compare to a critically acclaimed and world renowned band like The Beatles. If you compare those two, you're just going to split the fan bases of rock and grime. Bands like Fall Out Boy, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, The White Stripes, Kings Of Leon, The Killers and Muse give modern music more of a chance in this debate.

Depends what sort of rap it is. Tupac I could listen to but people like snoop dog make me lose faith in humanity.

Eminem? .....

Probably the exception to my own rule. I love eminem.
