(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Today has been a very bad day on ngu. A user on this site has gone wild and is posting virus's. Several members have already been infected with this virus. It will disable NGU on your computer, and steal your account. Here are some things you can do to prevent getting this virus:

DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING WITHOUT A SCAN!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM A USER WITH LITTLE POSTS

JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE SAYS IT WORKS DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD IT! THE VIRUS CAN MAKE A USER POST ANYTHING!

If they do supply the above, ask them for a picture or video.

Watch out for ps3.exe in the download link, thats the virus!

Hopefully it will all be sorted out by the end of today, but just watch out.

List of the known usernames he has created and infected(will be updating):

people get banned for rep boosting

people het banned for scamming

people get banned from shoutbox for using bad language

this is bullshit a lot of times mods dont answer and they think they are the best because they have a ****en mod on there description

Actually people do this kind of thing out of nowhere for the shits and giggles. If your friend wants to host lobbies tell him to sign up and make his own thread. You think people shouldn't be banned for rep and scamming? The mods do a great job, and they do it for FREE, they have to work it around there real lifes, maybe you should invest in one.

ha beat me to it i was gonna make a thread bout this.. anyway good mate yep.. & don't download if file download link is from uploadvillage.com (but bast*rd might get clever though & change & the file name to maybe) & if you've downloaded & the file size is "1.84 MB" DONT run/double click open it, delele it 1st thing asap.

Also for the members like me :( that unfortunatly downloaded & ran it, i suggest & reccommend you backup all your stuff, (files, pics, musics, programs/apps ..etc all your files) to a external hard & format your PC/system & after change your passwords.. or maybe just a system restore point to an earlier time/day before but not sure if that works/remove the infection from our systems.

...or if you've got a very good personal firewall (like my comodo firewall) then you can just block/deny it when this sh*t tries to connect/send to that f*ckin skiddy noob hacker, that's what i'm doing anyway lol

You know what you are wrong as can be. Its our Job as a Mod to do those things. If there was no Mods on this site, It would just be full of crap and just fall apart. We have a Job to do and that is to keep the forum clean and safe of any crap that goes on. Now when your a mod you don't have more power over people or anything. I take it as Im one of you guys and Im just a Premium member with a purple coat on. You can say whatever you want to say but most people Like the Mods on here because we do what we have to do, We keep the forum safe and clean and we are here to help anybody at any moment.

Its most likely some old banned NGU member, there are a few people that come to mind but the mods will handle them.

OK everybody. I found a way to remove it!

Follow my tutorial:

Go to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
(may be a different path if you got a 64bit system.)

Look for the hosts file.
Open it with the editor and you will see ngu somewhere.

Delete the ngu part and save the file.

Maybe you need to fix the other files in that folder, too!

-> fixed!
