A 125cc motorbike, not a chinese replica or any chinese bike (they fall apart and are the shittest bikes in existence). Not a pit bike, or a dirt bike. Probably a Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Sym

suzuki or honda is your best bet value for money wise

HONDA NSR125

APRILIA RS125

or you can go old fashion with something like this

HONDA VT125 SHADOW

thers not many good looking bikes at the 125cc range you may want to go upto 250 or even 350 for the good looking bikes (700-2000cc for the sexy looking hyabusas)

NSR's are quite pricey, the Shadow is tempting but they're shit hard to find on ebay or auto trader and the RS don't last very long (fast speed, engine also dies fast). Thanks for the advice though.
I was looking at these bikes

Sym XS

Yamaha YBR

Honda CG

There's others I can't remember however i'm not sure which is the best (fuel consumption, reliability, speed, build, how long parts last etc)

Also i'm looking at a bike below £1000 as i'm currently on Job Seekers Allowance and i'm saving all the money I get so i'm able to have transport for a job. When I get a job i'll do my full bike test and get a larger bike. For now I need a bike that lasts, not too pricey, not slow, lasts a good while and doesn't look like a shed

Not many motorbikes are 2 stroke. Only mopeds and the occasional speed bike

honda cg's are a horrible looking bike, but very reliable. i had an apriila rs 125 very fast and easy on the eye but was forever breaking down, forgot how many power valve cables i got thru?

correct but a 125 aint really a motorbike is it

but then your also right a 2smoke 125 will have very high running costs,

the only good thing you have is the bikes you are looking at are at the bottom of the price range you should be able to pick up something in good condition and of a good age for your money

how about one of these i've seen a couple for £1300

Yeah that's what I mean, i'd rather have a CG and have it run forever and a day than keep spending money for a little extra speed.

Wouldn't really trust that tbh, chinese bikes and unknown brands aren't really a smart move. Also like I said under £1000 and the only bikes that go for that are the CG's and it's rivals (YBR's, SR's, CBR's) etc

it's a Derbi part of the Piaggio group,

piaggio is europes biggest motorcycle manufacturer.

so not really a chinese or unknown bike.
