Not sure how many Americans here are familiar with Top Gear but I know the English members will know of it and I just found this news story while checking my e-mail. All I can say is I'm quite shocked and didn't see this coming.

I think you all got mislead by the title. The stig isn't moving. Only the person who played the stig is. The Stig is BBC's name for him, and therefore Channel five or fifth gear can't call Ben Collins The Stig. Top gear will still have the stig, but it will be played by someone else so the guessing games will begin again. It's only like Perry McCarthy playing a stunt driver on another show, who was the black stig. He wouldn't be called the stig though, just Perry or something. Same with Ben. He can do what he wants, he's not under contract to not go to fifth gear. You guys need to learn to read and understand things correctly

I didn't say the stig was moving. I think they've they've done the stig to death and I hope they come up with something new now. I think you need to start reading and understanding things correctly as i'm pretty sure the other members knew that only Ben Collins is moving they were just annoyed at the fact that channel 5 have effectively stolen the stig.

Really? That to me makes it sound like you think that The Stig has gone. The Stig is just as important as Clarkson and the others. Why should they get rid of the character just because the second one left to go to another show?

I don't think that Fith Gear stole the stig, as much as the BBC forced him to leave.
The BBC thought it would be good to lie to its audience, and say that Micheal Schumacher was the Stig. I don't like lies.
The BBC then didn't like it when the true stig was going to reveal himself. I don't like lies.
Of course, there is a slight difference between a lie and a secret, but trying to fool the nation makes me feel like I'm treat like some sort of idiot.
I don't pay my TV licence to be treat like a sheep, that follows anything they see.
I think it's better for him to move than stay, because I know if I was in the BBC and I was him, I'd be more than pissed off (Someone else claiming they do your job).
