Hi there, I was just wondering what car I should buy.

I have a limit of £2000, I'm pretty ****ing poor, not gunna lie.

What (relatively nice) car do you reckon I could get for £2000? (NOT including insurance prices)

Second hand would be fine.

I would really appreciate some genuinely serious opinions, and if you post a pic along with a good idea, I will make sure you get a healthy amount of rep Winky Winky

Cheers lads,

I was going to be smart and put in the price range and give you a link but I don't have your postcode...

However you should choose your first car as its YOUR first car, pretty sure very very few.. it any will ever see it.

Is this your first car? If so you best going with something small like a Punto.
I had an Escort for my first and lets just say its wasn't a good idea. Equally you could try and find a Reliant Robin. In all seriousness they are the best "cars" ever.

Right now I'm driving a Renault Clio and if you worry about fuel prices then you may want to consider getting one too. From a full tank I can go on average 55 miles before refueling. Which for a first car is very practical.

Seriously though, you should go for something like a punto or a corsa. Cheap on insurance which you're definitely going to need.

probably aim for something japanese, theyre reliable enough if you know what to buy, and also look at the top gear challenges for some help because they pick up some good cars for lower than your budeget.
