A few days ago, a person was recharging his mobile phone at home.

Just at that time a call came in and he answered it with the charging Instrument still connected to the outlet.

After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the floor with a heavy thud. The phone actually exploded.
His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious with burnt fingers.

He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Shit, if my phone rings on charge i always answer it. Even more worrying, i always leave my laptop on charge overnight, infact my laptop charger is rarely unplugged from the socket even if its not charging...... Well thats gonna change from now on....

I think is just a freak accident though, maybe faulty socket or surge of electricity maybe??

Daddy's home.
I think the chances of this will be very small with the phones needing to pass a series of safety tests by CE and other companies. It does look like an old phone so maybe the laws/safety tests have been made more vigorous to pass. It also could have been a faulty wire somewhere. I can't see this being a very common thing but it does bring to light why you shouldn't keep things plugged in.
