Yeah if people had any idea about the Iraq war they'd be disgusted. You don't have to be a skeptic or a conspiracy believer to know that it was a ploy for America to get a little more oil, and sacrifice brave people who are willing to lay their lives down for their country and help other people. It's disgusting what government will sacrifice for a little money.
My dad has been to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Gibralta, Falklands. He's been everywhere really, he's a medic aswell, lucky he's still alive if i'm honest. He's pretty damn brave and it's disgusting if people say that people who are soldiers are low lives who hit rock bottom and are taking the easy way out. I admit it used to be easy to get in, but in the UK we are suffering the concequences of the recruitment of the gerkha's and people who were put in the army as a punishment. People in the public sector are being layed off because of these 'low lives' as some people say.
To finish this little essay, to all those who say modern soldiers are cowards, low lives, hit rock bottom or even taking the easy way out, you go to Iraq, you serve your country, and then see what some of these 'low lives' have to deal with day in day out, for an average pay check. They should be getting payed more than most peoples cowardly day jobs when they go back to their comfy house whilst soldiers are out protecting their freedom and their comfort.
