If we lived in a flat world then everything would be two dimensional, but fact is we are living in the three-dimensional universe.

What are the requirements of being 3D? Well that is easy, something must have height, width, and depth. There are 360 possible x degrees and 360 possible y degrees. So that when viewed from any one angles of the 129600 possible sets of degrees (x and y) it will still have a value for each of those variables of H, W, and D.

So, in conclusion, the fact that we have mountain ranges and valleys proves that the earth is not flat, because those things could all have x, y, and z coordinates on a coordinate plane, proving the to not be flat.

People have known the earth is round for a few millennia. I think since c350 BC.

One of the ways they knew about this was due to constellations. Aristotle proved the earth way round as he noticed that he could see different constellations from the equator then high in the northern hemisphere. The farther you go from the equator, the farther the ‘known’ constellations go towards the horizon, and are replaced by different stars. This would not have happened if the world was flat
