100% agree on the last part. I've never spent more than 3-4 hours in Detroit. Many cities are similar. Cops need them guns, atleast in the U.S.

I'm not saying all guns are a bad thing, but they need to be properly controlled. There needs to be a big old course before you can even handle a pistol. Anyone with a criminal record involving burglary or violent crime should not be able to have them.
Anything more than your standard pistol should have ridiculously tight restrictions on them. Carrying a rifle around is just bang out of order unless your hunting. Then you obviously would have to prove that is why you are carrying it.
As for the people who claim that having a pistol would have saved someones life, that is a ****ing pathetic argument. You're putting it against something that is impossible to test. The alternative is, if the person didn't have that gun would the other person had died. You can't compare the two because it's impossible to obtain the data. Therefore making the argument void.

Do a barrel roll!
well i live in texas....southern texas. so practicly every family down here owns atleast one fire arm. im 15 and i have multiple weapons and know how to control them,ive been through many classes for handguns,shotguns, assault rifles,smg,and sniper rifles. by family trade im a sniper. my longest confirmed hit was 1126yrds with a barret model m82a1 50.bmg it had a 29" barrel. soo basicly my view is if you take the proper number of classes and have a clear background plus the right liscenses you can get any gun you want.

Are you guys allowed to carry concealed weapons in school?
