What do you mean by good setup, what kind of HD PVRs are best out there?

I have the Hauppauge HD PVR and it records up to 720p, quality is really good and I havent had any problems with it.

I think the Hauppauge HD PVR are the best, Your going to need a HDTV(Obviously) And a good PC or Laptop that can run HD videos.
