I won this award two years ago and just now received it, apparently the cleaning lady found it behind a cabinet. I think its time for them to find a new maid service-lol
Sorry its on myspace-I couldn't get it in an attachment.
I won this award after two very unfortunate accidents in a two weeks time. Both accidents happened on two seprate job sites I had (not related to my work).
The first one was a drunk old lady kid a man on a bike with her car. The guy went threw the windsheild and had a large cut along his neck (it looked like someone cut his neck with a cleaver). I was the first person to stop, so I had to apply pressure to the wound and wait for the medics. This man did live, but he is unable to speak for the rest of his life. I do not know what happened to the lady, but I do know she was arrested. After she hit him, the dumb bitch started yelling at him for damaging her can.
The second was a motorcycle cop went around a corner too fast, lost control of his bike and drove straight into a sign on the side of I70 (one of the interstates here in Denver). He hit the sign so hard that it split in two and part of the sign cut through his entire nose and cracked his skull open (not just a cut-but to where you could see his skull and parts of the meat). I will not go too in depth with details, but he did die at the hospital due to his wounds. I will say that it was one of the worst accidents I have ever seen, and hope I never have to see it again. I was covered in so much blood that you could sqeeze my shirt and blood would run out of the fabric. Even though he died, I won the award mainly on this one, the police department nominated me because the officer was able to see his wife and kids one last time before he died.
I have read some of the replys and I just wanted to let you know I am Not a hero, I'm just a guy who stopped to help, I didn't go into a life threating situation like fire fighters or the Armed Forces-they are heros.
Thanks
