For those of you who think the President in this country possesses imperial powers, I open this thread as a service to invite you to make positive remarks on how the new President of the US has improved your life. Any and all comments are encouraged. Since the perception of many is that politicians have the power through legislation, or even through a powerful speech, can uplift and improve the lives of the masses, I start this thread with the hopes of drawing out those fervrent Obama supporters who think that only he can bring about positive change necessary to improve the lives of individuals.

I think Mr. Obama is smart enough to hire equally smart people that will make the changes needed to improve our country and economy for the benefit of all of us, not just the financial elite. It will take some time to reverse the decline started by ronald raygun but I believe it can be done and Obama is the man to lead us onto a new course and a new broad based peace and prosperity.

A young women I heard said her ssi increased last month because of something that Obama did.

And honestly, Obama has given me the hope that things in this country can get better. Whether that will be, who knows, but it will certainly be better than the last 8 years of warmongering, cronyism, corporate welfare, and the just out and out stupidity of our LAST president.

Thank God for checks and balances designed into our three branches of government. Although when the whole system is corrupt who's to know who's doing what or who to blame when things go horribly wrong?
Even though I didn't vote for him, Obama seems to be a man desiring to be open and honest with what is happening in the government behind closed doors but if he exposes too much, even his own will ostracise him. I can't say what he's doing now with the bail-outs is going to make much of an impact though. Certainly the stock investors aren't too crazy about it. The stock market keeps getting lower and lower.
Bush though can't be blamed for this crisis since it was the SEC run by the democrats that allowed this housing crash to happen. The banks were not required to deny loans to high risk borrowers and well, surprise, surprise major defaults all around the country. Banks now have to carry all this burden of debt and can't loan out any more money.
This was a democrat thing that caused the crash so be sure you check you facts on who's really responsible.

BTW, YES you CAN blame bush for the past 8 years because he was responsible for that time and LMFAO he got into the top 10 worst presidents of the U.S. of all time, hes the only president on that list who actually had a color picture lolololol.
