(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've seen many bumper stickers that say 1-20-09 "Bush's Last Day". that day has finally arrived. For those of you who think the President in this country possesses imperial powers, I open this thread as a service to invite you to make positive remarks on how the new President of the US has improved your life. Any and all comments are encouraged. Since the perception of many is that politicians have the power through legislation, or even through a powerful speech, can uplift and improve the lives of the masses, I start this thread with the hopes of drawing out those fervrent Obama supporters who think that only he can bring about positive change necessary to improve the lives of individuals.

Perhaps the moderator can make this thread a sticky!

Well Obama hasn't improved anything. All he can do is talk well, he can't do anything else. People compare him to MLK but that's an offense to MLK. MLK actually had good ideas. "Hm I want to become a socialist country but let me spend 3 billion on a cool lookin' rail system first."

-took money away from my hard working father to support communist/socialist ideals which "spread the wealth around." thats pretty cool... if you're into economies which don't function without threat.

I agree with gobucks. But yesterday when I was watching the adress and heard Obama making all these promises I was just thinking "Where the FU** are you gonna get that much money?" He said if you do community service, help out in your community and and stuff you will be able to go to college...seriously that guy needs to learn about realism. It's like me promising every single starving person that they will have more food than they can eat...where would I get all that food?

gobucks31, elfmotat, EvilRip0306 and thyrsta thank you, I though I was along there for awhile. Obama has done nothing for our country, so how can I expect him todo something for me. I ask you-would you sign a bill that is over a 1000 pages and costs close to $1 Trillion dollars with out reading it?
Welcome to the USSA (United States of Socialist America)
It makes me sick that he is compared to MLK. DR King was a true American hero, Obama is a simple thief with allot of power.

Cobra- that shit is funny, I'll meet you at the Paris Hotel-I need to spend my money before it gets taken away.

Don't ask what Obama can do for you but what can you do for Obama? Obama the great non-white hope. I guess I'm willing to give him my support seeing as I am neither rich nor poor. Taking the troops out of Iraq too soon though is going to be a huge mistake when the power vacuum implodes on that country and all the minorities get knocked off. In order to fix Iraq though is going to require religious tolerance which isn't in the Farsi dictionary. At least in America there are laws to protect you from anti-religious groups wanting to destroy you simply because you don't believe what they believe. If Iraq allows Islam to dictate law than its going to continue to be a mess until all the radical clerics are rounded up and executed. Then the population has to be re-educated to understand western culture and freedom. Give them self-worth and start honoring the women instead of raping and murdering them. The problem is so huge over there its like peeling an onion. Removing one issue only exposes another. Well, if we develop alternative fuels like hydrogen fuel cells and create synthetic lubricants we'll have no more use for their oil and they'll just become like most of the African nations that squabble amongst themselves but have no effect on the rest of the world.

Lol I've used that term before republican USSA and Relic I totally agree with you about Iraq. We've already gotten in the mess, it would be a HUGE mistake to back out now.
