EU research now means a invisibility cloak now works in 3D. Past ones only worked in 2D which means look at the top you could see it...so yeah bit of a fail.
Only problem it only works for objects 1mm big.

So it quite way off before we all have harry potter style cloaks.
It was only a couple years back that a paper was made saying it could be done.
The Phome project done this bit of work.

So yeah good news no ?
Just think all the nations in debt just need a cloak over the bonds no problem!!
