Seems that there are alot of secrets being let out and this doesn't bode well for the USA, or the countries involved with their dealings!

Well the shocking thing is that these government documents keep getting leaked. Im sure every country spies on its allies and enemies and creates documents of this sort. I have to question the security in the pentagon if this is happening

The problem is of losing trust from diplomatic partners over the US security of their communications. They don't want to be exposed for their communicationos with the US and possible aggrement with US policy.

Lets be real here. Everything said is not shocking ,or how they interact with other countries over matters of mutual concern.

What is shocking is their lack of security and exposing other secure governments communications to the general public.

Apparently they are as enept as Treyarch at preventing hackers from breaking in on them, and this from a country that claims to have the best technology??

Lesson learned here is: keep working on that code breaking and hacking as a kid, It could pay dividens in the future.

I blame W. I dont know if it was said in this article or another one I read but all this is a result of actions taken after 9/11. Lots of doors were opened that allowed information sharing between many branches of government that had absolutely no need for it.

Information sharing is good in theory but you also don't want it accessible to people who it has no effect on at all. This stuff was available to some very low ranked military and law enforcement who had less than 5 years experience, just stupid imo

I would agree with you 100%, there is no need to share most of the information that is being sent from agency to agency. I honestly believe that the FBI, CIA, Secret Service and Armed Forces need to be on the same page, but the accounting division at the IRS doesn't need to know our nations security-that is unless they are directly effected. It is my opinion that citizens of a nation (no matter what nation) do not need to know everything that happens. The US is no different from any other county, they all spy on each other in some fashion-and that information should never be released to the public for safety reasons alone. In the last few years we have had CIA operatives named, Safety precautions exposed, and now this. These so called WIKIleaks are going to get people killed one of these days.
