Over 500 schools were closed today due to severe weather as Scotland and England are buried in snow!

Hundreds of air passengers have been left stranded as Aircraft's cannot depart airports simply because of the ice'y frosty conditions pilots feared would cause the engines to "freeze"

Other motorists have had to abandon their cars on the highway in aid of food as they were left isolated and alone buried under 5 feet of snow.

Several car accidents have occurred throughout the UK causing more chaos amongst the people.

Here are some statistics which have been lately recieved:

> About 1,200 homes in Scotland still have no electricity

> Southern Energy said 3,000 homes had been affected earlier but engineers had been reconnecting electricity supplies

> The council said it had used 12,000 tonnes of salt compared to the 3500 tonnes used during this period of 2009

> More than 450 schools closed in England

and about 95 schools closed throughout Northern Ireland.

Here are some images of the effects of the tremendous power of mother nature.

French is like trying to play ps3 for the first time. It's tricky to get the hang of it, but when you do it's fairly simples

England needs to grow up man. They've had hardly anything compared to North America this year so far & yet we're still up & running while Englands shut? lol.

Everyones panicing, not going to work, stocking up on food etc... While here we are carrying on like its everyday life.

Where i'm at we've had 14" ( 1+ Foot ) in the past week and we can't even "Salt" our roads because of the freezing temperatures. -39 Last night with windchill factored in.

Kids enjoy it though as it means no school so pretty sweet for you guys i guess

Edit : The snow you got aswell is considered a wintery mix seeing as it melts on ground contact and turns into Slush. Our snow its fluffy and dusty & doesn't melt not even in your hand.

...and you want a medal? Snow is rare for us cockney boys, give us a break chum.
