And when you're Activision Blizzard, you can put Infinity Ward back together again. You can get over it. And Activision's owner claims it has, according to the Financial Times. "We have reconstructed Infinity Ward," said chairman and CEO Jean-Bernard Lévy of Vivendi, the majority owner of the mega-publisher. "We have been very happy with the way we have been able to reconstruct it."

Not that Vivendi and ActiBlizz need them! Lévy boasts that Black Ops developer Treyarch has outperformed the old Infinity Ward with its latest game. And they have Sledgehammer!

Activision did promise "Ultimately, Infinity Ward will rise from the ashes" not long after aggressively hiring new talent for the embattled studio. We're sure they'll be wrapping up Modern Warfare 3 any day now.

So if we are lucky we have more modern games...if it was left to treyarch that would suck i dont like the "older" war games...they did do good with BO though and actually listened to what we was complaining about

Thing is next Cod is set in space, so we'll most likely see Mw3 in 2012 Although there has been rumors of there being two Cods this year [2011]

Why on earth would there be 2 cod games coming out in the same year..

Infinity ward and treyarch may make a new1 i hope theres a new1 anyway because im smashed up so manythings because of frustration on BO, my pad a few dvd cases, tv remote the list goes on!

No idea but sledgehammer games are making a new one so ... =P

I agree, i did swap my call of duty 5 game for fallout 3 because i really didnt like but this year with treyarch have really pushed out the boat with the singleplayer, i loved singleplayer and yea for some reason it made me listen and i got my mind working and found out whats going on, they made a great story line and i would give a massive thumbs up to them, but Infinity ward did make Mw2 multiplayer prity good, and how it was easy to quickscope but also do hacks and they don't give two shits.

We already knew that IW weren't gone. They are already producing mw3. They had a stumble yes, but that didn't mean that they were just going to give up the franchise they created. They would have been mad to.
