Onlive is fairly a new console. With a lot of different opinions on it.

Can it top PS3/360 or It will struggle against Sony/Microsoft experience in the market?

What's Onlive?

The OnLive Game System delivers instant-play, high-end, new-release video games to TVs. Now players of all skill levels can enjoy games from the comfort of their living rooms—instantly and on-demand—without ever having to bother with discs, downloads or updates. Whether you are checking out a demo, joining a premium multiplayer game or watching live gameplay from around the world, with the OnLive Game System it’s as effortless and as fast as changing channels.

It will have 40 games upon release. They also promised WAY more games in future.

Here is the current known games:

Defense Grid Gold
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
King's Bounty: Armored Princess
Ninja Blade
Prince of Persia
Puzzle Chronicles
Saw
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.
Tomb Raider: Underworld
Unreal Tournament III: Titan Pack
Wheelman
World of Goo

The console itself will cost 99$.

[multipage=Plans]

PlayPass plan: largely new-release games available for free demo or 3-day, 5-day or Full purchases. Current prices range from $2.99-$49.99.

PlayPack plan: recent, classic and indie titles. Access to the full PlayPack library is $9.99/month.

Some games will only be in the PlayPass or PlayPack plan, some will be in both, and over time, you’ll see PlayPass games added to the PlayPack library as they get older. For example, NBA 2K11 just came out, so NBA 2K10 has been added to the PlayPack. But what’s great is game saves are kept seamlessly between the plans, to give you complete flexibility if you’ve been playing a game in one plan and then move to the other.

What kind of TV do I need for using the OnLive Game System?

For best results, we recommend attaching the OnLive MicroConsole to your HDTV with the included HDMI cable (or through an HDMI-compatible audio receiver to your TV). If your TV does not have an HDMI input, you can use the optional OnLive Component Video Adapter for analog video and analog stereo audio, available through the OnLive Web Store.

If your TV does not have HDMI but does have a DVI input, you can connect the OnLive HDMI cable to your TV via an HDMI-to-DVI adapter (available at consumer electronics stores) for video. Then, use a minijack-to-RCA stereo cable for audio (available at consumer electronics stores; also included in the OnLive Component Video Adapter package available at the OnLive Web Store).

How do I hook up my surround sound receiver to the OnLive Game System?

If your receiver has HDMI pass-through to the TV, you can simply attach the HDMI cable to the receiver. Alternatively, you can use an optical audio cable (available at consumer electronics stores). If you have an analog amplifier, you can use a minijack-to-RCA stereo cable (available at consumer electronics stores; also included in the OnLive Component Video Adapter package available at the OnLive Web Store).

The OnLive Game System supports digital HDMI and optical audio support for surround sound (coming soon).

What kind of Internet connection do I need to use the OnLive Game System?

You’ll need a wired broadband connection near your television (3 Mbps required, 5+ Mbps recommended for best performance). As a general rule, we recommend 5 Mbps for TVs 40 inches and larger, 4 Mbps for 30-40 inch TVs, and 3 Mbps for smaller.

Not asking in a mean way, but where does it say they charge $10/month for service? When I first read it, they said they would NEVER charge to play online, then I looked right now and can't find that part but I also can't find the part that says they charge monthly.

Every time I see onlive I mistakenly read Ona-live and think it's some kind of Masturbation station.

^Proves my point. I know it might be optional but without it you cannot play games.

That's the playpack. You have a separate page for that lol. That's like having a rental at gamefly. You can still play games you purchased without having to pay monthly.
