(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok I'm assuming you clicked here because you would like a gaming headset but don't know which one. I am going to walk you through most popular headsets.
I will be adding some stereo headsets but for now these are the popular top end headsets.[multipage=Tritton AX720]Okay so here are the Tritton AX720 You must login or register to view this content.. I am going to call them the 720s because I don't have alot of time.
Pros:
The 720s have 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
The Sound quality is better than its more expensive brother the AX Pros.
The sound quality is said to be better than the Astro A40s buts it pretty much the same.
A low price of $130 80ish Pound and 93 Euros I believe.
Cons:
Mic quality is not the best but it isn't the worst (I have heard about users of the 720s having constant feedback through their mic but it didn't bother their teammates so they were fine with it.)
The Build of it isn't very durable as the headband can snap easily.
The customer service isn't near as good as Astros
Summary: It is a great headset for its price but if you rage easily and take it out on your headset I highly suggest not buying it.[multipage=Astro A40s] Hear are the Astro A40s You must login or register to view this content.. I am going to be calling these the A40.
Pros:
5.1 Surround sound. Supposedly the best sound on the market.
Can be used in MLG events.
Supposedly the best mix amp on the market.
Great Mic
Comfy except for it being kind of heavy
Cons:
Very high price of $250 189 euros and 159 UK Pound
No Direct Chat volume
Lots of cords
Must sit relatively close to T.V or monitor
Lots of cables
Very thin headband
Heavy
Very low bass response
Summary: It can be comfortable to some people and very uncomfortable depending on what kind of person you are. To many cons for such a pricey headset and very low bass response is a very bad thing in my opinion. I personally don't think think it's worth the price.[multipage=Turtle Beach DPX21]
Calling these the DPX21s
Pros: The DPX21s are 7.1 as are the other headsets.
They have a sleek design and a bendable boom mic.
Very comfortable if you are now playing for very long times in a session because after you take them off you're ears hurt.
Voice monitoring (When you talk in the mic you hear how you sound through the headset to make sure you aren't that annoying kid in the lobby  )
Cons:
My px21s died after 3 or 4 months of keeping them in perfect condition (These are the PX21s just with a DSS box included to make them 7.1)
Mic make start to loosen if you mess around with them to much.
Higher price then the Tritton AX720s @ $150 113 Euros and 90ish pound
