(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); would this site fail without a shoutbox?

i dont think so if they took out the shoutbox it would make the site run a little faster and people wouldnt get ignored as mutch, but on the other hand their would be alot of useless threads, but then again thats why they made pm's
