I just spent the best month of my life watching all 4 seasons of Heroes on Netflix. It was a great way to end a hard day and was an extremely enticing story.
Just a few minutes ago I finished season 4 only to be left with a cliffhanger that would supply the show with at least another seasons worth of episodes. SPOILER: Claire reveals her power to everyone, super scandalous, I know.
I was expecting everything to be resolved because I knew the show was cancelled, but it didn't resolve the smallest bit of the story. I did some research and I found out that the show was cancelled due to a lack of viewers (which was 4 million by the way which is not bad at all) and another contributing reason was high productions costs. The creator Tim Kring even lobbied for at least one more 43 minute episode to clear up the rest of the story but the greedy fat cats at NBC didn't even have the decency to pay for the production costs of one episode to satisfy an audience of at least 4 million people (it most likely would've been 10 million if advertised as "The Final Episode of Heroes").
What pisses me off is that shows such as Two And a Half Men continue to dumb down the people of America with their meaningless and crude sexual jokes and just because 14 million of the stupidest people in America watch the show so they're allowed to stay on air. Soon our programming will be full of mind numbing shows just because people are too lazy to entertain themselves with an actual story and turn to crude humor to satisfy their entertainment needs.
So, today marks my last day of watching public television rather than sports because they haven't been corrupted yet. After watching Heroes I now know, this is my destiny.
The reason two and a half men is still on is because people like it. It's funny and quite original. 14 million viewers over 4 million. Which makes the most money? Hint, it doesn't have a 1 in it.

But how can anybody be entertained by that mindless dribble. I personnaly do not find it funny and I can't see why anyone else would.
