Have you watched a basketball game recently? Can you imagine Shaq charging straight at you without any protection. Thats a lot of contact if you ask me.

Yea it has to be boxing in any sport, but the most violent sport of that criteria I think is Rugby. I don't even think it has any protection. Rugby is like football without any protection =D

Depending on the position, there might not be a lot of contact in football on every play. Particularly corners/wider receivers. But in hockey, even the goal is getting blasted with the puck every 30 seconds.
