Post: Addressing the Community
12-19-2010, 01:09 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well Hello NGU,

I haven't been on this site as long as many of the others but there are things I have been seeing lately that I find to be detrimental to the community.

For one, why does everyone seem to be soft when posting a response. People don't seem to have real opinions anymore and only post what people feel gets them some REP.

A few months ago most people look down on rep whoring and helping out the community was a lot more prevalent. Now a days, I see people saying they "Deserve" rep for something they did or will do something only if they receive rep.

People post useless things in the completely wrong section and still receive rep for it because Newfags are lost and find something that anyone with an IQ above 50 should know.

Anyways these are just a few observations I see and would want to see changed.

Thanks for Reading,
Light Bringer.

I find it better that they act this way then to bash on members. I find that some people just rip into others because they didn't know something was already posted. They were only trying to help, and maybe gain a little bit more respect from other members.

New members NEED rep also. A lot of people just don't believe new members as much because they have such low rep. Now, don't get me wrong, some new members are just trying not to be helpful, and not using the search bar when making a new thread, but there are ones that aren't.

I agree with you though. It's not about REP and Post Count and all of that, but we are all here for the same reason, right? The latest and greatest hacks and glitches. Just imagine the site without any sigs, rep, avatars, post count, points, ect. How would it be different?

Rep doesn't mean a god damn thing if people sugar coat their speech. If the site wasn't all about rep, people would speak their mind more often. Thats the difference.

I think this is more of a suggestion. (IMO)

I have no suggestions that can be implemented by programming things into the forum. Just something for people to read and take into account.

Well that's what I was trying to prove.
I was agreeing with you, sorry if it wasn't clear. What I'm saying is that things aren't going to change unless rep is gone.

This is the right section for this.

I totally agree, people do only do shit on this site for rep. Rep needs to be abolished. Sorry rep fags, you're still not cool.
