If we dont go to that 30mins we get a 1hour
And if your really bad you can get a 2hour detention
Dont attend that then your expelled for good!

our detentions are mainly for behavioral issues,

you can get two hours on saturday
or four hours on saturday

if your grades are too bad they will ship you off to a secondary high school also located in my city

Well....
Break time detention.. messing about in class etc is 10mins
Lunch time detention is like 20mins-40.
After school detentions are like 1-3hours lol

My school doesn't have detentions, you just have to talk to the counselor or get suspended. And who actually gets in trouble for not doing homework, my school doesn't care and were one of the best schools in Minnesota for testing and Minnesota is one of the best testing schools in the nation

I'm in college, but our school was
Forget homework once - Verbal warning
Forget homework again - 10 minute detention
Forget homework three times - they give you this report thing and your parents have to check every day that your homework is completed. If it isn't completed you get a 30 minute detention.
Fights - Just a verbal warning, sometimes the teacher tells you to do your classwork outside the principal's office.
Afterschool Detention for 1 hour - Assaulting a teacher or telling racist jokes, being sexist, or bringing anything like cigarettes to school.
