PLAYSTATION 3 VS X-BOX 360
Explained By Superman.

Now. We have all seen this. The flame war between the PS3 and the 360. Of course, someone who just has the PS3 is gonna say they like their PS3 more and that the Xbox is full of a bunch of four year old kids, and the person with the 360 is gonna say that the PS3 doesn't have any good games and that no one plays it.

In this argument, there will be a scattered comment such as "I have both consoles, I don't play with my PS3 because it sucks, Xbox all the way" or vise versa. Now, the person that made this comment is either lying, or what they said is true. Keep in mind they say "I don't play with my PS3." So, what about someone who plays both? Which is really better?

Neither. They are both of equivalent gaming value. "But how could this be?" The PS3 and Xbox are good in their own ways. There are too many arguments favoring one side. Here are some common examples:

"The Xbox 360 has better games!"

This statement is false for two reasons. First, Halo is not more than one game, and besides, Halo is a series of games that aren't that good anyway. Halo is like a shortened version of Dynasty Warriors. It's a bunch of games that are the same. This is not to say that the Call of Duty series is much different, but at least they take place in different time periods. Secondly, the PS3 has a selection of games that differ from the Xbox. Last time I checked, Killzone is only for the PS3. And Littlebigplanet, although it may seem like a homosexual game, is at least fun and isn't on the Xbox.

"The Xbox 360 is a community of annoying little kids."

Now this statement doesn't make much sense to me. Sure, there may be more annoying little kids on the Xbox, but the community is much bigger, so obviously there will be more little kids. With my experience on both, they both have the same condensed amount of little brats. "But that didn't prove anything!" Okay, well think about it like this: The PS3 costs more, that means a bunch of little rich pricks are gonna get the PS3. Now, would you rather play with one annoying kid that is just trying to have fun, or a rich little brat that thinks he is better than everyone else? "My mom bought me a modded controller." Seriously, get the **** off your rich fat ass, and go outside.

"The PS3 doesn't have a party chat feature!"

Who gives a ****? Why would you want to play with someone that isn't even playing the same game as you? Pick up the ****ing phone, you idiot, or have your dumb little friend play the same game as you. If he doesn't like the same shit as you why is he your friend anyway? "But I wanna play Black Ops!" Shut the **** up bitch, put in COD4.

"The Xbox doesn't have Blu-ray!"

Yes it does, get off your lazy ass, go get a job and buy the stupid little adapter for it. Who even ****ing uses blu-ray? That shit is stupid. "Let's go out of our way and pay $20 more to watch a movie in the highest fidelity possible so we can see every little spec of what is going on!" First of all, who still pays for movies? Everyone has knows how to torrent a movie, and if you honestly have the brain capacity of a paper bag, you can at least use Netflix. And if you can't get Netflix to work, maybe you shouldn't have bought a gaming system in the first place.

"The PS3 can't play music in-game."

Turn on your ****ing iPod, nitwit.

"The Xbox doesn't have an internet browser!"

Well, if you're reading this argument in the first place, I assume your on your computer. And if you only go on Hackforums on your PS3 browser, then I feel sorry for you. It's a computer hacking forum. "But I want to watch porn and not leave any history, and I can't install Google Chrome and use the Incognito function, because my dad monitors the programs installed." I will say it again, turn on your ****ing iPod, nitwit.

Now, I own both systems. I play my PS3 more. Does that make it better? No. I like playing Call of Duty 4 on my Bravia in 1080i, because it looks awesome. Then, when I retire to my room, I watch movies on my Xbox, or play Halo: Combat Evolved, or something.

So who wins this argument? Which is better? Neither. Shut the **** up.

The only thing the 360 has on the PS3 is cross game chat & xbox live partys. Nuff said.

Or maybe the fact you can listen to your music in-game. 3rd party developers usually design their games for Xbox 360. That is why COD sucks on the ps3. The servers are way better on Xbox. Also to the guy that said mass effect 2 is coming to ps3, while that is true mass effect 3 won't go to ps3 until a year after its been released for Xbox

They're equal, or at least they were until the Jailbreak.

Now with that around, I'd pick the 360 over the PS3 anyday.

Mass effect 2 would have stayed excluive but since ps3 community is so big now they just had to make it multplatform. Honestly I wouldn't use cross game chat as if they were my friends I woul d have their number and call them. Conversation would also be cut short as we arenot playing the same game. Sony may have started at a horrible start but now they have suppased the 360. It may look like I'm a ps3 fanboy but that's not true. The 360 is still a great console and plays some great game. My favorite console is still the ps2, it may be old but its always going to be the king of gaming

I though Sony made losses last financial year? Xbox sales have been increasing still. I know of this locally because everyone from my school is coming onto xbox.

As previously stated, games are made for xbox 360 via PC. They then need to be converted for use on a PS3 which reduces overall quality of game play because it was made for the Xbox. When I say gaming I was thinking competitive such as online shooters.

About everyone clinging onto the comeback 'pick up the phone and call them' I'm not sure if you guys live in America or something but here in England we wouldn't do that. That is a massive impracticality to hold the phone up next to your ear while trying to play a game. (you could only talk to one person as well) Sometimes if I want to go out with people I can join their party on xbox and ask them all at once. Parties are also part of the routine when I go on. Turn on the xbox and join a party of people playing the game you want to play. You ask for an invite and you get one after they finish the game. All the while talking about things and catching up.

First off it doesnt matter how much money sony is loseing as this year they filed a finacial gain.
You are right that most multiplatform games are designed on 360 and ported to ps3 and pc but the ports are not different or very slightly in some games that use the unreal engine. That does not matter at all as gameplay and features are all the same and thats what its all about. All blockbuster games that are multiplatform are spent more time porting to ps3 to make it rivil the 360 game and at times surpass it.

As for cross chat, you dnt hold a phone to your ear to talk but instead hook your bluetooth to your phone and talk. Almost everyone now has a bluetooth enabled phone (even the motorola razor is bluetooth enabled). Thats all you need and the best part you dnt have to spent $50..er...I mean $60 for online every year

Still, its only one person you can talk to at once and its gunna cost a bit to speak for long. (If its anything like great britain) I would think xbox live costs because it is a better experience that playstation. Playstation costs more to buy that xbox. Both 120gb I found PS3 for £160 and Xbox for £105.
