The Murder of Johny Habib[/size]

On new-year's day in 1984 a boy (18 years old) called Johny Habib was brutally beaten to death with a baseball bat in the Upper East Side arcade. The arcade where the boy was killed was running without a license and, when the kid got murdered, people just played like nothing ever happened.

Habib was described as a tall, young man that was in love with electronics and arcade video games, women, dancing and rollerskating. At around 7:30 PM that night, 2 boys ( 17 years old and 21 years old) entered the arcade, one of them was wielding a baseball bat. They were searching for a man that was called Brian. The man called Brian has embarrassed one of the boys. They eventually started punching and beating Jonny and he told the other people in the arcade to just continue playing their games. The beating was not a mistaken identity at all, they found Brian later that night, who managed to get away with just a few bruises.

The boy who murdered Jonny, got 7 to 22 years in jail for combined manslaughter and assault charges.
