well... I do agree with you that what they give you for trades in is a ripoff . However this depends on many things 1. Did you ask for cash or store credit . 2. Game stop has to make profit of some sort , if they were to give you what a used game costs , then they wouldn't win anything . 3. Game stop trade in service is easier than EBAY or Craig list . Lets compare the process , With Game stop you go into the store , give them your game (s) , and then you sign saying own this game . 4. On Ebay/Craig list , you have to make the bid/ad , you have to wait for a buyer , hope that a buyer picks you out of all the people selling their copy , and Then Ship the game . I am not disagreeing with you i traded in Socom the day after it came (Big disappointment) and gave it in the case with the manual . The guy gave me 16$ store credit , i payed 40$ . I told him i played it for 30 minutes , He said " The minute you take off the wrapping it becomes used and loses 10% of its value" . Also i had a 250gb ps3 (it was the 40gb model , i upgraded the hard rive) that got ylod . I traded in my XBOX Elite (70$) , Broken ps3 ( 110$) . All i did was sign that whatever working parts shall be used for manufacturing reasons , so.....
