Post: Should new members be encouraged more to contribute?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NGU.

Just wondering what you guys think about this idea.

After looking at the NGU statistics thread in general and looking at the amount of people with over a certain number of posts, I realized that whilst many users do have a high post count, most of the site's registered users do not have many at all. It can be daunting to post for the first time on such a big forum, so do you think messages should pop up for new users viewing a thread, such as:

"Like this thread? Reply by clicking here."

This might help introduce shyer people into becoming a more active and contributing member.

/Discuss.

TLAwesome faceR: Should measures be taken to get new members to post and not just read on the forums.

My opinion:
Its just the internet.. No one over 10 or 11 should 'daunted to post for the first time'
Now thats just my option.. but yeah we should get rid of members who don't post at all after a year on the site but still are active, (Pvfags lechers)

I agree with this guy ^^^ if you don't post in over a year with let's say under 500-100 post then you should be deleted.

Find me on Steam.
Maybe some of us never have anything interesting to say!
Plus when you're not a premium member you feel scared to type in threads when everyone else IS a premium member, and they bully you because you havent donated, and they make you wet the bed. =/

Well yes people might not be able to create a thread, but you also never see newer members posting in other people's threads.

Make people post atleast once a week or something otherwise their account gets marked as inactive or something, I mean we shouldnt force people to type, but forums are built upon people communicating. Some people just join to check out glitches and then leave (yes like I used to :()

I know what you mean, I personally would be annoyed if I was literally forced into posting, but having members post something maybe once a week at least to try and increase participation is a good idea.

Nice to see another GT5 enthusiast. About your deleted posts, do you know which mod deleted them? It might just be a case of asking them why.
