When I had my first girlfriend, I met her parents within days. It's nothing special. Hell, it's not even worthit unless you are going to be dating for a long time.

My current girlfriend, well. That's a whole different story. Hah. Me and her have known each other for two years before actually dating. After that, it's been a year now of us being together, going on family vacations with one another, and so on. Hell, tomorrow, I get to spend five days with her mom, her, and her grandparents in Tampa.

Trust me, meeting the dad is one thing, that's easy. Another is telling her dad that you got pulled over one night of slight drinking by a crooked cop for 'following too closely' when the cop was a half mile behind my own car. It sucks telling the dad that you got a DUI on your ass, that's when it's horrid.

Of course, the DUI got kicked off as long as I go to a couple AA meetings and have my license suspended for nine months with privileges. Not that it matters, I've driven illegally for a year at a time. (The Nine Months was because they had illegally arrested me, which I am now suing the city of Powell for in a civil case, but of course it originally was a year.)

Add onto that a couple drug convictions as a teenager, and bam. That's me. Hah. Trust me, getting caught with alcohol and getting caught with weed are so odd that it's not even funny. I pretty much went through hell and back with alcohol, and for weed, all I did was pay like two hundred dollars and go to adult rehab for a week and it was over with.

Most dads are a lot more critical than the women. At least the girls tend to try and find perfections rather than flaws. Of course, guys are easy to please. If you look like a bad ass, talk like a bad ass, and show that you are both smart and able to protect their little girl, then you've got the job. The girls like it if you possess women skills like cleanliness, no arrogance or ignorance, and no stupidity.

But welcome to the world of manhood. Next stop, trying to explain how your girlfriend magically became pregnant.

My girlfriend's dad loves me. We always get in good conversations, like once he was pointing out all the MILFs to me at his daughter's cheerleading competition. lol... He trusts me, I am taking her to Myrtle Beach (again) for Spring Break, with my mom and brother .
