*Explain your reasoning!
*Have a story share it!

Note:Sorry for coming off like a backseat mod, but I want to have a clean nice discussion here. Well sit back enjoy and share your pics, your stories and your point of view on the term accident.

My Story
Well on January 6 of this year, I was coming home from school and was about 75% through the intersection when a 83 year old lady decided to cut me off and turn left in front of me. Yes... 83 years old /facepalm So I had no choice but to hit her etc, my car and self sustained no injuries but I was also wearing a seatbelt =D

But my personal opinion on the term accident is quite retarded.. reason is you don't have an accident and hit a car... and plus "A car accident today occurred" doesn't sound as good as "A car wreck occurred" And wreck sounds and describes it better...

Pics:
The picture of my truck and the car I hit are in my sig :y:
But don't worry I can't get it to show in my post =D

car accident

"there was a car accident on I-75"
"the cops dispatched to the accident"
"traffic is backed up due to the accident by the school"

it just sounds weird with car wreck IMO

True. I think of it as this... "It was an accident that I punched you in the face even though I hate you" etc. That wouldn't be an accident then would it? It would on purpose, or a wreck in the case of automobiles etc.

car accident and car wreck sound almost the same to me :P
and about your accident, i just have to say that a lot of old people tend to drive weird Eek
i saw this one old lady that drove straight into a pole for some reason.
and there was this one time when i was going somewhere, with my nephew, i saw these old couples driving on the opposite lane going the opposite direction. they were lucky there weren't any traffic at that time cause if there was, they probably would have ended up on the news xD

xD lol.. I don't even understand why people over the age of 70 are allowed to drive.. they should at least be tested every year for vision changes, reaction times, and perception. I mean god forbid when you get older, your eyes just change for the worst quickly. I can't remember how fast your eye changes shape, but its bad enough that elderly people get into accidents/wreck so much. lol
