Cosmology trumps your philosophical arguments. Science has known for years that the universe (as we know it) will indeed come to an end. Google is your friend.
The big crunch or the heat/freeze death are all theories based on speculations about dark matter, there is also the theory of the multiverse as well. None of these have enough solid evidence to really back them up completely. But then again, they're probably more reliable than my musings
And most of these theories are about the state of the universe as we know it, ie: planets, solar systems, galaxies etc. All of these endings simply produce an alternate state of the universe which do not correlate to the ending of space or time, I guess I really didn't talk about the fate of the cosmological universe but rather the notion/entity of "everything".
