So I'm more looking for older people to respond to this, not 13 year old kids who don't know how you get pregnant.
With that said, my girlfriend went off of the pill about 3 months ago because she didn't like the weight gain, I supported her, and said we just wouldn't do the deed anymore. But that didn't work out so well, we've slipped up a few times, but I've never finished inside her.
Now she still hasn't had her period, the booklet said it would take a while to have a period after you go off birth control, and in addition her hormones were already messed up before she went on the pill. So does it seem normal that she may just be taking a while to get back into normal menstrual cycle, or could she be pregnant? She has none of the symptoms of pregnancy except the missed period, which I think is from the birth control, but I am starting to get a little worried.
take your girlfriend and go see a doctor.(go with her for support mate!.she needs you at times like this, plus you'll get brownie points from your g/friend too

..lol)
you need a professional opinion when it comes to these delicate matters concerning you both.
see, whatever medicine we,as individuals consume, has different effects/side effects.
to understand why it is so, is to have a general understanding of how it works.
we're all different, from individual to individual, and what works for me ain't exactly gonna work for the next person.that being said, certain medications affect individuals differently.
the symptoms your g/friend has may/may not relate to the general consensus.
when new medication/s are tested,it is,but only on a very small scale(hundreds to thousands of people) and that my friend does not cover the whole population.and therein lies the problem with medicine.it ain't tested on everyone therefore there is no way of knowing what all the side effects are.
if your g/friend has bad side effects from a particular medicine, common sense says to not take it anymore.there's always an alternative medicine similar to what she's taking.(ask your doctor).
even in women, the natural menstrual cycle differs from woman to woman..some women go through a lot of pain when they're menstruating(period),while others have very little if any pain.
sex,is an important part of our lives.it shouldn't put you off because of this experience.just think of it as another chapter in both you and your g/friends' relationship.
sex,i think is one of the most important factors in a relationship as it brings trust and bonds the man and woman as one.
well,i do hope things work out for you both.
Cheers
