Yea i doubt she'd be saying that if she never got paid a penny from her music.... Easy for people to say when they've already made theirs...

But she is right, music isnt a business, its an artform. That's why most mainstream music is shit, artists working to deadlines to push out their 10th album full of minute made songs...

Piracy effects the record labels more than the artists. If u pay £15 for an album, the store distributer would get a cut & the record company get a cut leaving the artist only say, for example, £2 per album. I would also imagine she still gets payed a lot in royalties aswell.
