The megadeal to bring Carmelo Anthony to the New Jersey Nets is dead.
Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov told the team to end trade talks with the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, saying he was unhappy with how it played out in public, that it took too long, got too expensive and cost the team games.
The Russian billionaire also canceled a planned meeting with Anthony on Thursday and said there was no chance -- that's a big nyet -- that the trade would resurrected.

NOW JUST SIGN THE THREE YEAR $65 MILLION DEAL AND STAY WITH DENVER DAMN IT!

yea ur right man but unfortunately loyalty means very little to nba players nowadays.....i hope melo isnt like that. But the pricetag is usually more important then the team for players.

Ah but your wrong on that. Melo just said that winning a championship is more important to him than $$$. The Nuggets are offering him a $65million 3 year contract. I really do think we can win the championship this year. We have such a solid team. Nene is hands down the 2nd best center in the league this year, we got Al Harrington, Chauncey is a great point guard, JR Smith has been lighting it up as of light, Ty Lawson is a GREAT backup pg, Gary Forbes was a diamond we got from the d-league, and so on.

i don't why these people complain.
They get paid way MORE than they should!

I would just accept the deal and continue shooting some balls into a hoop for 3 hours 4x a week for $65 million
