I have decided to bring a thread compiled of Things That Work In Video Games, But Not Real Life, When games are looked at from their mechanical aspect, You will find that they generally contain a lot of unrealistic features. Take the quick scoping in Modern warfare 2 as an example, Well in this thread I will cover all of this. So fasten your seat belts ladies and Gents cause your going to go on the most informative journey of your life :carling:

Gunshot Wounds Don't Just Fade Away

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gigg27Kg4G8"]Call of Duty: Black Ops - Weird hit detection[/ame]

The difference between Video games and Real life is without a doubt huge one, and When it comes to War games. The thing is, around 99.9% of us will never be shot in real life, yet in video games 99.0% are deemed to get shot (Unless of course you never die in a game which I highly doubt you've). Even if we were to get shot, I'm more than sure we would get at least a visible wound instead of a simple blood splatter flying across your screen.

Hacking isn't the Easy Way in Life

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9vDzaBwD_k"]True Confessions of Hackers[/ame]

Hacking is the way forward, it's the easy way out and In. But then again, That's is only possible in the Interwebz. When it comes to Real life situations, Hacking is the most useless thing you will ever find or stumble upon, simple because it isn't possible. Take it like this, You won't be 1337 if there isn't internet in your existence .

You Can't Carry 15 Guns And Still Walk Like A Normal Human Being

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyLhb6sp9qg"]Goldeneye: Source Gameplay Showing All The Weapons[/ame]

I'm sure that many of you are sceptical when it comes to how a game is designed to enable a player to carry 15 guns without feeling an inch of extra weight on his back?!?! I mean come on, if this was to be seen in real life. You'd feel the weight of the whole planet on your back, Simple because of gravity and how heavy the guns would be.

Going In Water Doesn't Instantly Kill You

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsqbfSa5S88"]Red Dead Redemption - Deep Water is the Number #1 Killer[/ame]

It is known to us humans that if you can't swim and staying in the deepest end of the sea could result in your death. I never knew that an Inch of water could cause your death, In games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Assassin's Creed, our near-invulnerable heroes just can't handle a little h2o, but for some reason, all those bullets flying into them only make them stumble briefly.

Hiding In Shadows Doesn't Render You Invisible

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viftfiyc8UE"]Splinter Cell Conviction: Stealth Feature[/ame]

Remember games like Splinter cell, Where the stealth mode was the ultimate way of staying practically ''Invincible'' to almost anything that could potentially harm your existence within the game. Now that's something to mention here, If this was to exist in real life I would estimate that all our spies would be Dead and Gone by the end of the century. In fact, They would be shunned upon for their dumb and creepy moves.

If You Collect Coins, You're Either A Nerd, Or You're Homeless

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJDHU3pflNA"]Super Mario World Coin Collection Game[/ame]

Coins and ground, These are two things that could never go together, But for some reason Developers that it would seem beneficial for players to collect coins or rewards of such nature within their games. But we all know that there are only two types of people in real life that collect coins: total nerds, and the homeless. The only real difference is whether you keep them in display cases or a paper cup.

That's all folks! Hope you enjoyed this little Guide on Things That Work In Video Games, But Not Real Life
