No. You're wrong, at least not in high school.
There is a thing called weighted grades, which only applies to AP or Honors classes.
You must login or register to view this content.
So if you manage to get all A's, including 1 weighted class, you can attain a GPA higher than 4.0. :y:

thank you tA rick I was about to say about weighted classess my cousin graduate with a 4.8 and she got the bill gates scholarship schools were paying her so she could check out the school

Nah if your in Pre-AP or AP classes, you add 1 point to whatever you got in the class. So getting a 90 or above in a Pre-AP/AP class would give you 5 points instead of 4. Probably how he got over a 4, I had a higher than 4 earlier this year but mutha****ing Spanish F*cked it up with my 68. BUT I get 1 point for that, and 5 for Pre-AP Bio, AP Human Geo, Geometry, and AP English average it out to a solid 4. =D As long as I yearly average pass Spanish I could care less.

AP Human Geo - 5 Points
AP English - 5 Points
Spanish 1 - 1 Point ( :FU: I hate that stupid beaner language. :carlingSmile
Health - 4 Points
Pre AP Geometry - 4 Points
Pre AP Biology - 5 Points
Football - 4 Points

Solid 4.0 even though I'm FAILING Spanish Cool Man (aka Tustin)

AP classes actually don't affect your GPA here. That's the thing.
