It's all effort dude. It's easy if you go to class, pay attention, and stay up to date with homework. When you fall behind, you get in trouble, and if you do those things, and STILL have trouble, you might need a tutor, or just study Smile.

No offence a D in Math isn't going to get you anywhere.

Now, make sure to stay on top of your homework. Finish as much as you can in class, and finish it up at home. Do as much as you can, and don't be afraid to ASK your teacher. Also, you have a textbook, USE IT! Even if your teacher hasn't assigned it, practice problems from there. There is no rule that says you can't read ahead in your textbook and prepare ahead of time for future chapters.

It's hard to get yourself to do work because you aren't used to it now that you have slipped up. You really need to get rid of all distractions around you and JUST DO IT! Practice questions from the internet, use study guides, also, if you have an upcoming test on a book, and you haven't read anything, use websites like Sparknotes, and Wikipedia is a great source for classing novels, they are actually more simple to understand at times, as they can simplify what is happening in the book into a more easy to remember state. Trust me, I slipped up a while back, and ever since, I have been a much better student.

What's so cool about that, people like you will be serving me my food in ten years.

Little tips to help you do better : Set yourself some GOALS or REWARDS. You'll naturally work harder for yourself and complete things if you know there's something in it for yourself. When I say rewards, I don't mean long term rewards or goals, make easy and short goals.

Study guides! Colors will be YOUR best friend in section. When creating a study sheet remember to write down important things, keep it point form and NEAT!

Stay away from friends - it's self-explanitory. If you're busy talking with your friends you won't get your work done. Simple as that.

Sit in the front row - You'll be more focused on learning, then socializing. This way if you begin to do anything you're not suppose to, any teacher with some common sense will ask you to stop.

Use these simple ass easy steps, you'll get higher grades.
