All feedbacks left on that item are positive, he has over 200 sold, and the item isn't taken down. I would buy it if I were you Smile

Yeah but I'm worried that the HDD may not be compatible or it will die quick with my ps3 :/

I've just found a few hard drives, they are branded by a major company and are compatable in the ps3. Its only <$10 or so more expensive, but the hard drive will have less chance of failure, better speeds, etc. I heard the 3.56 made HDD upgrading not possible, you might want to look to that if you are on 3.56.

Edit: The Segate drive (first link) has 16mb of cache, it might increase speeds somewhat, but it wouldn't be very noticeable in a PS3.

Hope I helped.

I'm still on 3.55. So will those work with PS3?

It should, I've never upgraded my hard drive, but I would assume the ps3 would tell you to format it into the file system of the PS3 and you would be good to go.

Worth the Weight
The feedback left leads me to believe that it should be okay. I wouldn't worry too much when it comes to compatibility, because as far as I know, any 2.5" SATA should work with the Ps3.

After doing further research, it looks like a 2.5" SATA will have no problems.
