To study menthol, the FDA has appointed an advisory panel of scientists. Their work will continue through March 2001 bofore they make a recommendation.

We are fighting for your right to smoke what you want!

We think the FDA won't find a scientific basis for banning menthols, but sometimes politics trumps good science. Lorillard does not believe that menthol cigarettes should be treated any differently by the FDA than non-menthol cigarettes. We also believe that Americans have a right to make a personal choice to use any legal product.
