House Speaker John Boehner said he wanted to be "the most pro-life speaker ever" and on Thursday the Ohio Republican showed how he plans do that by hailing new bills aimed at barring federal funds from paying for abortions.
The most ambitious legislation is the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act," a measure that again reprises the health care reform battle from the last Congress when disputes over abortion funding played a crucial role. Only this new bill would go further than anything ever considered by Congress because it would make the so-called Hyde Amendment permanent and applicable across the entire federal budget.
Pretty much they want to limit federal funding for abortions down to "forcible rape". It would exclude women who were drugged at parties, it would exclude women with a limited mental capacity, and it would even exclude instances of statutory rape. If this bill gets past, the GOP will be pretty much redefining the definition of rape all together.

I'm curious to see what people think of this. I'm someone who believes abortions should be the woman's choice, not the governments.
Please no bullshit responses, so don't post if you have no idea what you're talking about. And don't misinterpret what this thread is talking about. I'm not asking whether anyone thinks abortion is right or wrong, it's about the government having control over things they shouldn't have control over.
